Early Modern-- women who wrote back when they were still largely considered brainless slaves
19th Century-- this is a "golden age" for women writers; the novel is created, women become far more literate, and we see the birth of women's rights as we know it.
20th Century-- ah modern writers! Features well-known writers and some who have just written their first. Some of my favorites are here.
Nonfiction-- from essays on the condition of women to pollitical treatises-- nonfiction essay writers, scientists, etc.
Collections Online-- there are a number of places promoting women authors, and these collections are some of the best and most reliable.
Criticism Sources -- places to find debate about, research on, and discussion of various women writers. A great educator's resource.
E-Text Sources-- some women writers (19th century types) are hard to find in bookstores-- but you can find some of them online. Download texts, find more writers.
Listservs-- there are places where other people with your interests are talking about women writers. Here are a few listservs-- special mailing lists, for you to check out.
Reference General informative sites,include history and theoretical sites.
Other Women's Zines Online sources of original content, similar in nature to our site, often with specific audiences and goals.
