Brown Women Writers Project -- Early Modern
Women:
A research project devoted to early modern women's writing and
electronic text encoding. Their goal: "To bring texts by

Writings of Dhuoda are summarized here. Dhouda was an educated
woman of the ninth century. Here, she seeks to instruct her son.
Her defense of the religious foundations for patriarchy are notable.
