I am very lucky to have been chosen to review this book. Otherwise, I might never have known that Cindy Crawford, John McCain, Sammy Sosa and Amy Tan can all bring tears to my eyes. I wouldn’t know the Native American philosophy—“It’s hard to see the future with tears in your eyes,” which was quoted by former Cherokee Chief Wilma Mankiller. I couldn’t have examined “Fame” with Al Pacino, “Art” with Sean Penn or “Faith” with Willie Nelson. I’d never hear the Beatles classic “Let it Be” with a true appreciation of the love Paul felt when he had the dream/vision that inspired it.

This collection of over 100 essays by celebrities as diverse as Dr. Sally Ride, Jeff Bezos, The Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Oprah Winfrey, Chris Rock and the Dalai Lama is so rich and varied in content that I defy anyone to read it and come away unmoved. It will inspire, inform, and enlighten you. It also invites you to share your own story for the next edition, which should interest you aspiring writers. Highly recommended.
