There are several web sites which have pages about or simply mention Susan Warner within them:

The Warner House. This site discusses Warner's home and the site-seeing possibilities afforded there.

"The Wide, Wide World." A Celebration of Women Writers. This site is dedicated to publishing women's literary work on the web. The 1892 Lippincott edition of The Wide, Wide World is in full text here. Their listing also includes a JPEG of the books' cover and frontispiece. A great listing.

An very brief introduction to Wide, Wide World from the Mothers in Uncle Tom's America site. Leads to CH 1 of the novel... I'm including it simply because there are so few Warner sites...

A Woman at a spinning wheel

Illustration from Wide, Wide World, p. 188...

If you know of a link to a Warner site, please let me know about it!!!

Note: Links frequently move, or disappear entirely. No links collection is ever easy to update. If one of the above links doesn't work, try another. If you still can't find what you need, try a good search engine-- I like the Mamma Search Engine for new pages, and but some links will be "so-so". Then, remember to try the library! Not everything is available online. You sometimes need to pick up a real book.
